Circuit of Ulster Targa Rally

Plans are at an early stage for The Circuit of Ulster Targa Rally.
The aim is to run a multi venue targa rally with a 1 day loop around Ulster promoted by 7 motor clubs with the aim of providing the ultimate targa rally while raising money for the NI Air Ambulance Charity. The Clubs involved are Cookstown MC, Maiden City MC, North Ulster CC, Coleraine MC, Mid Antrim MC, Larne MC and Magherafelt & District MC.

The propsed route will start from Toome and take in tests at Moneymore, Aghadowey, Portrush, Ballycastle, Larne, Nutts Corner and back to Toome for the finish.

To be associated with such a successful and multinational company such as the Woodside group is an excellent boost for this event and the organising team are very thankful for their generosity.

Some updates from the organisers

Charity - Its the Aim of the Game. The sole purpose of this event is to raise as much money as possible for the NI air Ambulance and as such a minimum £100 of every entry fee go directly to the charity.

Plans are progressing well for this event with the tests being finalised before regulations are released this week. Watch this space for more info

The event will consist of 3 legs, travelling clockwise from any locaton to complete the Circuit.
* Toomebridge to Coleraine, startng at the Elk Bar & Restaurant, Toomebridge.
* Coleraine to Larne, startng at the Bushtown House Hotel, Coleraine.
* Larne to Toomebridge, startng at the Halfway House, Larne.

Friday 24th
Trailer Park open: 18:45-20:45
Scrutineering: 19:00-21:00
Sign on: 19:00-21:15

Saturday 25th
Trailer Park open: 07:00-08:15
Scrutineering: 07:00-08:15
Sign on: 07:30-08:30
Drivers Briefing: 08:45
1st car away: 09:15
1st car finishes: 18:30
These times apply for all three locations

Prize giving: 20:30 at the Elk Bar & Restaurant

All crews will complete 16 tests using sealed and unsealed surfaces and the route will run in a clockwise direction from each of the start locations
