Putting it out there for discussion, do the classes in the multi venue events need to be re-jigged a small bit. I know a few people would probably agree and some won't. Currently the the most common class structure on an MVAT is as follows

C1 Front wheel drive up to 1300 cc,
C2 Front wheel drive over 1300 cc
C3 Sports Cars
C4 Other Rear wheel drive

Going by yesterdays entry that meant the following
C1: 4 starters
C2: 38 starters
C3: 13 starters
C4: 3 starters

With a slight change around like the following
C1 Front wheel drive non Starlet
C2 Starlet
C3 Sports Cars
C4 Other RWD

the entries would have been spread
C1: 9
C2: 33
C3: 13
C4: 3

Putting the small cc Starlets in with the big powered cars might be off putting but maybe an extra award for the up to 1300cc Starlet. Also a few extra people might get awards and it might mean people might be encouraged to go down the non Starlet route. Would also be nice to see a few other RWDs out

Anyone any thoughts??

The issue is that most clubs have different class structures for multivenue. If they all had the same then it would be easier to look into getting it changed

Maybe the FWDs could be split into tyre categories. Cars running specialist tyres such as A021Rs and cars running cheap standard road type tyres. I'm not sure what the divide would be though. A list would be needed, it may get complicated.

The other option would be to divide at 1350cc instead of 1300cc. That would separate the 1330cc starlets from the cynos engine cars and 1600 corsas etc. but there was only 7 of those that I know of Sunday.

Maybe an endurance specification class could work. No LSDs and under 1400cc. It might make a more level playing field. Guys with standard starlets wouldn't be up against 1500 starlets with LSDs
